At Kurz Aviation Service, we are used to looking after a wide variety of aircraft - from modern business jets to classic propeller aircraft. But this visit was also something very special for us:
On July 16, 2025, we had the pleasure of welcoming an HU-16B Albatross, built in 1951, to our General Aviation Terminal Stuttgart.
At a proud 71 years old, the seaplane is probably one of the oldest aircraft ever handled by Kurz Aviation. The “Albatross” was originally developed for long-range search and rescue missions over the sea and can take off and land on both land and water - a real rarity in today's aviation world.
Of course, we made sure that both crew and aircraft were well looked after - from handling and refueling to individual support. We would like to thank you for your visit and are delighted that we were also able to say goodbye to this extraordinary guest.
